We are a group of high school students in Tanzania from Outpeak a project that helps needy yet smart Girls in secondary school. In Tanzania there are 1.5 million adolescents not in school right now due to different obstacles like inadequate scholastic materials, lack of sanitary pads and bus fare, which hinders girls from going to school thus increasing the risk of poverty and gender based violence in her future . Our Solution: we decided to empower smart yet poor girls who are in secondary level by creating a frundrasing platform ( www.outpeak.org ) to help them raise funds to support their basic needs. We incubate their small business project by providing seed income and mentorship so that they could financially uproot their families and themselves and not depend on donations. Our Impact: -So far we have supported 6 girls with scholastic materials for one year and we want to recruit second batch -We have run two successful crowdfunding events and partnered with 2 different school to post our donation box and help their girls. -We have won two seed income competitions and we are still implementing the project. Our Why: We decided to invest in girl education because a graduate is less likely to get HIV, have children that die under the age of 5 and will raise her community’s economy tremendously, and also it is the most undermined group that has a lot of potential and a promising future of the nation Our Need: We are humbly asking you to support us to raise money for airtfare and visa fees to travel to the Final competition in USA. Suluhisho Letu: tuliamua kuwawezesha wasichana wenye ufaulu lakini maskini ambao ni katika ngazi ya sekondari kwa kuunda jukwaa la ufadhili (www.outpeak.org) kuwasaidia kuongeza fedha ili kusaidia mahitaji yao ya msingi. Tunashirikisha mradi wao wa biashara ndogo ndogo kwa kutoa mapato na ushauri wa ujasiriamali ili waweze kufadhili familia zao na wao wenyewe na sio kutegemea mchango. Impact yetu: Kwa hivyo tumeunga mkono wasichana 6 wenye vifaa vya elimu kwa mwaka mmoja na tunataka kuunda kundi la pili - Tumeendesha matukio mawili ya fedha ya umati wa watu na kushirikiana na shule 2 tofauti ili kuwasilisha sanduku la mchango wetu na kuwasaidia wasichana wao. - Tulishinda mtaji wa millioni moja na laki 3 kupata ushindani huo tunatekeleza mradi huu. Kwa nini: Tuliamua kuwekeza katika elimu ya shule kwa sababu mhitimu hawezi kupata VVU, kuwa na watoto ambao hufa chini ya umri wa miaka 5 na watainua uchumi wa jamii yake kwa kiasi kikubwa, na baadaye wa taifa Uhitaji wetu: Tunakuomba kwa unyenyekevu kutusaidia ili kuongeza fedha kwa ajili ya tiketi za ndege na kusafiri kwenye mashindano mwisho nchini Marekani. Mwaka huu tulishinda fursa ya kushiriki katika ushindani wa kikanda wa Diamond Challenge ulioandaliwa na Chuo Kikuu cha Dar es salaam, Tanzania na kushinda tuzo ya kwanza, kama washindi wa kikanda tunapaswa kushindana katika ushindani wa mwisho wa kimataifa ambao utafanyika Delaware.
